Despite the freezing rain warning, there were 10 joyful congregation members (Finns and not Finns) who got together Friday afternoon February 23, for the first sing-along in support of the Rohingya refugee relief. Ismo Makkonen had prepared a great list of 40s-60s
songs with lyrics. Singing was so much fun (and a few tears were shed too!) that after an hour and a half we had to force ourselves to stop before the coffee got cold!
The next sing-along for the same cause will take place on Friday March 23 at 6pm at the Estonian Church. Saku Mantere and his guitar will lead us to the world of 70s-90s pop-music.
